How to Operate Your RV's Heating and Air Conditioning with iN-Command System

Welcome to our guide on operating your RV's heating, air conditioning, and ventilation controls using the iN-Command APP or Display Commander (DC). Let’s dive into the features and functions that will help you customize your RV's climate control.

Accessing HVAC Controls

  1. Main Screen
From the main screen of either the DC or the APP, tap the “HVAC” icon to access your heating and cooling options.

Understanding Zones

Each roof A/C unit is designated as a “Zone,” and you can control each zone through the iN-Command DC or APP.

Important Points:Only features available in your unit will display on the screen. Each zone shows two temperatures:

  • Set Temperature (desired temperature)
  • Zone Temperature (current/ambient temperature)

Selecting a Zone

  • Use the arrows on the DC or the slide bar on the APP to select the zone you wish to control. This unit has 3 zones available.

Operating Modes

1. Fan Mode

  • To circulate air, press MODE to switch to Fan Only.
  • Select your desired fan speed by pressing the Fan Icon. The fan will run continuously until you change the setting or turn it off.

2. Ventilation

  • If your unit is equipped with Power Vent Fans, you can control them from the iN-Command APP or DC. Under the Vent section, press Vent to open or close it, and choose the desired fan speed.

Setting Desired Temperatures

Cooling Mode

  • To set the desired cooling temperature: Press MODE and switch to Cool. Use the UP and DOWN ARROWS on the DC or the slide bar on the APP to set the desired temperature. Press the FAN ICON to select your fan speed. Note: If the power vent fan is open, it will automatically close when the A/C is turned on to Cool.

Heating Mode

  • All our trailers are equipped with a propane-fueled furnace. The Gas Heat icon will show under the zone where it is installed.
  • To activate heating: Press MODE to switch to Heat. Set your desired temperature and fan speed.
  • If your trailer has optional heat strips or heat pumps, you can switch the heat source from Gas to Electric by pressing the Source Icon to show Electric.
  • Important: The AC fan must be on when using the Electric heat source to circulate warm air.

Auto Mode

  • Auto Mode allows the system to automatically switch between Cool and Heat modes to maintain your set temperature. Select a zone that supports both AC and Heat. Press MODE to select Auto and choose your heat source. Set the desired temperature and fan speed.

Note: In zones that support both gas and electric heat, the system will prioritize electric heat for the first 30-60 minutes. If the desired temperature isn’t reached, gas heat will activate automatically.
